Choose the actual matching piece target

Enter a total number of selected pieces you want to hold, then subtract usable matching pieces already held. The tool does not decide how many customers a cafe will serve or how quickly supplies will be consumed. A target is the user’s own requirement. Cups, different lid codes and different straw formats should not be mixed into the same held count simply because they are stored together.

Round the remaining need to the selected selling unit

For a chosen target of 1250 C-KCL90 lids with 200 usable matching lids held, the remaining need is 1050. At one thousand lids per case, two cases add 2000 pieces. The resulting stock is 2200, which is 950 above the chosen target. Rounding up is necessary because the selected observed offer is a whole case. The tool reports the surplus rather than pretending that 1.05 cases can be purchased under that offer.

Compare an actually offered smaller straw pack

For EP-ST770, the current official store also offers a 400 pack. A chosen target of 500 with no stock can be met with two packs, adding 800 and leaving 300 extra. The case option would add 9600. The tool permits the supported pack choice without inventing a sleeve-only lid offer. Merchandise costs and checkout charges should then be compared on the actual selected unit. The smaller added count is not automatically the lowest delivered cost.

Keep exceptional inputs unresolved

A blank target, negative stock, fractional piece count or count above one million is not treated as a valid order. If held stock already exceeds the target, the required purchase is zero and the surplus remains visible. Changing the selected supply or selling option clears the target so a previous product’s requirement does not silently carry into another case structure. The calculation does not reserve stock, place an order or predict replacement days.

Use a remaining-need example that exposes rounding

If the chosen lid target is 1000 and exactly 1000 usable matching lids remain, the required order is zero. If the target increases to 1001 with the same held count, one whole thousand-lid case adds enough pieces and leaves 999 above the target. This boundary makes the selling-unit rule visible. It does not imply that buying that surplus is operationally best; a separately confirmed smaller offer would need its own price and purchase record.
