Add the actual offers in cents
One selected case of each current supply starts with the recorded dome offer of 4925 cents, the flat offer 2700 cents and the straw case 29471 cents. Their sum is 37096 cents, or $370.96. The tool uses decimal strings converted to integer cents, so binary floating-point comparisons do not decide whether an exact full merchandise credit is larger than the subtotal. The actual selected amounts remain editable user quote inputs.
Allow equality and reject excess
A confirmed merchandise-only credit of $370.96 leaves $0.00 merchandise for that basket. A credit of $370.97 exceeds the base and is unresolved instead of producing a negative amount. This is arithmetic, not validation that a particular coupon or account credit can be used. The seller’s eligibility and tax treatment remain separate. The tool does not convert an unverified discount banner into a guaranteed checkout saving.
Keep shipping and other charges separate
If full merchandise credit is applied and actual shipping is $4.99, that charge still remains in the known total. Blank shipping is unknown, not free. Tax and other charges also need explicit values, including confirmed zeros, before a full total is shown. A fractional-cent charge such as 0.001 is invalid rather than rounded into an apparently complete quote. Shipping across two sellers is not inferred from a merchandise sum.
Use a meaningful decimal boundary check
Two explicit user-entered $47.99 offers produce $95.98. Full credit of $95.98 leaves zero, while $95.99 is rejected. Three ten-cent items produce thirty cents. Those are calculation test cases, not observed prices for these supplies. Prices accept at most two fractional digits; negative, blank, scientific-notation and out-of-range values remain unresolved. Whole selling counts are validated separately so a fractional case cannot quietly change the quoted offer.
Keep the integer boundary separate from actual prices
The $47.99 test input is deliberately editable arithmetic data, not a newly observed lid or straw offer. Its purpose is to check that an exact $95.98 credit on two such offers is accepted without a floating-point mismatch. When returning to a real comparison, replace those inputs with the actual selected quotes. The recorded observed basket remains $370.96 for one selected case of each supply before actual charges or credits.
